With the dazzling starlight, the 25th anniversary celebration and supplier recognition ceremony of SSMC kicked off in the beautiful city-state of Singapore, attracting attention from various guests. KFMI, as a strategic supplier partner, was represented by Dr. Jay Pan, the company’s founding and group president, who was invited to attend the grand event. KFMI stood out from over 40 suppliers and won the “Best Supplier Award”,which was presented personally by Mr. Lim Soon, CEO of SSMC.
SSMC, a leading 8-inch wafer foundry in Singapore, was established in 1998 as a joint venture between global semiconductor giants TSMC and NXP, and has been collaborating with KFMI for 16 years. In 2024, SSMC and KFMI expanded their business cooperation from target to parts, laying a solid foundation for future diversified business development.
At the conference, SSMC announced its commitment to building a “green and safe supply chain” with a focus on energy conservation, environmental protection, and reducing carbon emissions. SSMC emphasized the need for all supply chain partners to embrace ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. Working together with SSMC, KFMI firmly believes that implementing ESG principles will have a profound and positive impact on the future.
